We believe:
- Individuals are sovereign
- Our rights and freedoms are inalienable granted by God
- Irremovable by government – government may infringe upon them, but they are still ours if we will claim them
- Unchanged by the times – changing perceptions about truth, does not change the truth
- Our country’s founding documents enumerate these truths and were written to protect our rights and limit government
- These documents are not “living” documents, and
- Circumvention of these documents, does not remove or change our rights
- The Documents
- The Declaration of Independence enumerates our overarching rights (life, liberty [freedom], happiness [property])
- The Constitution is designed as a “government limiting” document
- The Bill of Rights declares specific rights that the Founders wanted protected, but is not intended to be a comprehensive listing; many of the Founders and States would not have approved of the Constitution without the Bill of Rights as many were concerned that the Constitution empowered government too greatly and they wanted protections.
- Government is a construct of men
- Created solely for the protection of rights and freedoms from infringement by others
- Granted limited powers from men
- Government does not have rights
- Government may not be granted a power that you as an individual do not have
- Power granted government can be removed at any time by the people
- The u.s. government is a republic, not a democracy.
- You can make a difference!
